Entry Requirements for Chinese Applicants
- Master's (official table on the China page): a Chinese bachelor's with an average of 68%-80%, depending on the university attended and whether the programme applied for is a Reading or Henley Business School one.
- Official PDF equivalency table (May 2024 version, institutions tiered by the ShanghaiRanking 2021 China ranking: Tier 1 = top 200, Tier 2 = other Ministry of Education recognised institutions): Henley business/finance ICMA-type programmes mostly ask 2.1 (60%), corresponding to 73% for Tier 1 and 80% for Tier 2; Behavioural Finance, Corporate Finance and similar 2.2 (50%) programmes correspond to 68%/75%; arts, humanities and social sciences, life sciences and science programmes 2.1 (60%) correspond to 73%/78% and 2.2 (50%) to 68%/72% (Applied Linguistics requires 2.2, i.e. 68%-72%, with the final-year subject average needing to reach high 2.2, i.e. 76% or above).

- Recommended submission dates for September admission: 1 July for international students requiring a visa and 1 August for UK students; applications after these dates are still considered; most master's programmes do not formally close for applications, but places may fill.
- Application documents: transcripts for all degrees (certified English translation if not in English, electronic PDF only), English certificate, contact details for two academic/professional references (the link is valid for 20 days), personal statement and passport copy; apply online through RISIS, with PGCE teacher training going through the Find Postgraduate Teacher Training route.
- The university works with approved representatives worldwide to offer face-to-face application assistance (in China including New Oriental, EIC, IDP and 51Offer); some representatives may charge students a counselling fee, so clarify all charges and services in advance.
